What are Rose-Cut Diamonds?

Rose cuts are a very old style of cutting that harkens back to the earliest days of diamond cutting.  You will see a lot of them used in the 19th century and we like to use them in bezel-set rings and as accent stones.  They are characterized by having flat bottoms and faceted tops.  You can see a few examples of our rose cuts on our Instagram page:  this ring and these loose diamonds.
