Pink sapphires come tones from light to dark and some have more red in them than others.  In fact, when pink sapphires have enough red in them, we call them rubies--because both Sapphire and Ruby are the same mineral (corundum) and it is the impurities in the corundum that make sapphires blue, yellow, green and of course pink.  Pink sapphires can be used as both the center of a ring or as accents to a center diamond.  We love their versatility and the feminine touch they lend to a piece of jewellery.
