Customize an FTJCo style
The beauty of choosing a ring from FTJCo is that our designers and goldsmiths are all on site, as is our manufacturing. Because we make our jewellery to order and in small batches, clients can make selections to customize their jewellery. Some of these options are included in the price of the ring; for example, gem shape, prong style, ring size, and metal (18K yellow, white, or rose gold, or platinum).
Note that white gold and platinum may cost a bit more than yellow or rose gold, as these materials are more expensive. Similarly, some wider styles may increase in price as ring size increases, because of the increased material requirements: bigger sizes require more gold.

I’m getting an FTJCo style Made to Order, what are my options for customization?
- Metal colour (18K yellow, white, or rose gold, or platinum)
- Prong style (classic rounded, or talon prongs)
- Ring size (from 2-13+)
- Metal finish (high polish, satin finish, Euro wheel, etc)
- Gem types & shapes (lab grown or mined diamond, sapphire, or other gem, either supplied by us or bring your own & we’ll set it for a fee)
- Sourcing for small accent diamonds (lab grown, recycled, or Canadian)
- Adding a custom laser engraving inscription
- Chain length

Start from scratch on a new custom piece
When you have a unique idea in mind or you want a design that isn’t offered in our catalogue of styles, the custom route is your best option.
Any member of our Sales Team can help you design your dream piece. If you’d like additional input, you may choose to book a Custom Appointment with a Senior Designer (in person or virtual). Our jewellery designers can advise you on what’s possible and make recommendations to maximize both the structural integrity and beauty of your custom piece.

Like all our FTJCo jewellery, custom pieces are covered by one year of All Perils insurance by Jeweler’s Mutual, and a lifetime warranty on FTJCo workmanship. One resize (a full size up or down) is included within the first year. A third-party appraisal is included when we provide all the gems.
How long does it take to have a custom piece made?
Having communicated your design vision and put down your initial deposit* we will begin modelling your ring. Expect to have renderings or a 3D printed model to review within 1-2 weeks. Once your design is approved and 50% of the final ring cost has been deposited, our standard production timeline applies: 6-8 weeks for gold, and 8-10 weeks for platinum. The balance of the cost is due on completion.
What do I need to get started?
Bring inspiration images and/or sketches to your initial consultation. You should have a general budget in mind, and know your preferred metal (18K yellow, white, or rose gold, or platinum). Identify which type, size, and colour (if applicable) of gems you'd like to look at in the appointment. If you're making a ring, you'll need to know your desired ring size if the ring is for yourself or someone you're bringing to an in-person appointment, we can measure you on the spot.
