This style of finding wasn't created until the 1900s. The centre stones resemble a Square French cut or a Tic Tac cut that was specifically created to make dark blood red garnets look fantastic featuring facets on the crown that create an \"X\". These centre stones don't have cut corners like a Tic Tac cut.
